They feared the gangs would fight them also. As they stood frozen in silence the Dragon of those who sold Gadgets at night and fought each other was pushing down the crowd’s Mr. The crowd was getting agitated at him and wanted to fight but where afraid of making a scene. The Dragon had reared its ugly head as the Macho and Rabbit widgets started to twirl.

In the ghostly tree the Macho widget of the crowd was getting agitated and their Geru widget was flying around to get a better view. They felt their husbands and children were neglecting their daily tasks in order to play with it. Various people got up and in their turn expressed concerns that the Gadget was too addictive and that the sale of it was too wide spread. George’s father started the meeting by tell the crowd they could ask question about the Gadget and their concerns on how it is affecting the community. His large figure was frightening to her heart shrunk deep into her chest. Larry’s dad spied BJ and came over to her and said she must go home with him after the meeting to live until she could learn to obey. “It is an open forum to discuss the impact of the Gadget on our community. “The town meeting was about to start” he calmly uttered. That look of do or die was on his face as George, holding BJ and the other kids around him, pleaded with his dad to help return BJ to her mothers and not have to sell Gadgets. If the pack of predators is at his heels he must fight them off to save the others. He allowed BJ to run up to George and hug him. Kind and gentle and he listens to others to see what they need. That describes George’s father, the Mayor. The true leader must be kind and gentle or the female in the herd will chase him off. Now, when animals go to the leader herd the others follow what the leader says. George’s father was in the inner cubicle. It was the fight of the widgets of the people, or those who represented them, to do what was right or wrong. This was where the town would try to sort out right from wrong. Next to it was the Lower Nature’s Kid’s tree with Dragon and his widgets. Consciousness had the Upper Nature Widgets on him and his tree looked a lot like the Upper Nature Kid’s tree. Also underneath it was the lower nature widgets and Dragon in the tree with the root of evil. It had a Mr.Do and the upper nature widgets. It was the communal brain of the group, the treehouse of the town with the widgets. The kids headed for the City Hall, they had told Cuz to come but did not know if he would have the courage to confront Larry’s Dad face to face.Ībove the meeting in ghostly form I could see a tree like structure. This brief respite helps the audience understand the magnitude of the ordeal that awaits the Hero and escalates the tension in anticipation of his ultimate test. He may need some time to reflect upon his journey and the treacherous road ahead in order to find the courage to continue. As the Hero approaches the cave he must make final preparations before taking that final leap into the great unknown.Īt the threshold to the inmost cave the Hero may once again face some of the doubts and fears that first surfaced upon his call to adventure. The inmost cave may represent many things in the Hero’s story such as an actual location in which lies a terrible danger or an inner conflict which up until now the Hero has not had to face.
